Ebony Thomas, age 40, of Derby, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 4, for selling the drugs associated with the death of a 48-year-old man in Shelton on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango.
According to Bango, Shelton Police responded to a downtown residence for the untimely death of a 47-year-old man. Evidence was recovered at the scene and an autopsy was performed, and the manner of death was determined to be a drug overdose.
Shelton detectives, along with members of the DEA New Haven office investigated the incident and developed Thomas of Derby as the suspect who sold the man narcotics, Bango said.
An arrest warrant was obtained and Shelton Police arrested Thomas. She was charged with the sale of narcotics and held on a $20,000 bond.
